About Chandigarh

The City Beautiful

Chandigarh, planned by the legendary French architect Le Corbusier and located at the foothills of the Shivalik range, is one of the finest examples of urban planning and modernist architecture in India.

Known as the "City Beautiful", Chandigarh blends creativity, order, and natural charm — with tree-lined boulevards, the iconic Rock Garden, Asia's largest Rose Garden, and the serene Sukhna Lake.

The city is well connected to major cities in India via Chandigarh International Airport (IXC), which operates international flights to Dubai (DXB) and Sharjah (SHJ), UAE, making it accessible from across the SAARC region and beyond. Chandigarh is also connected by rail and road to all major cities across India.
